Przemysł Chemiczny (Chemical Industry) is the oldest Polish chemical journal. It was founded 1917 by Prof. dr. h. c. Ignacy Mościcki, later President of Polish Republic. According to his desire, Przemysł Chemiczny is published in Polish up to now, to be particularly helpful Polish chemists and engineers employed in the industry and bring them knowledge about the progress in chemical technology and engineering.

The Journal belongs to the best scientific journals in Poland and over the world. Its impact factor was 0,464 in 2020. The Journal is published monthly. It is printed in full color on chalk overlay paper. The minimum volume of an individual issue of the Journal is 100 DIN A4 pages (+4 cover pages). The journal is available by subscription, but you can also buy individual publications.

The Journal is intended for managers, chemists and engineers in industrial enterprises, constructors in design offices, scientific workers in research institutes as well as lecturers and students in academia. All published scientific papers are reviewed by experts before acceptance for publication.

Ministry of Science and High Education grants scientific institutions 40 scores for each paper published in Przemysł Chemiczny during their annual evaluation. The Journal is screened and indexed by Chemical Abstracts. The individual papers are also included in the bases of Referativnyi Zhurnal (Russia), RAPRA (Great Britain) and TEMA (Germany).
