Przemysł Chemiczny (Chemical Industry) is the oldest Polish chemical journal. It was founded 1917 by Prof. dr. h. c. Ignacy Mościcki, later President of Polish Republic. According to his desire, Przemysł Chemiczny is published in Polish up to now, to be particularly helpful Polish chemists and engineers employed in the industry and bring them knowledge about the progress in chemical technology and engineering. The Journal belongs to the best scientific journals in Poland and over the world. Its impact factor was 0.399 in 2017. The Journal is published monthly. It is printed in full color on chalk overlay paper. The minimum volume of an individual issue of the Journal is 160 DIN A4 pages (+4 cover pages), but e.g. the real (average) 2015 volume was 195 pages and 32 articles per issue. The Journal is available in subscription only. The subscription can be ordered by e-mail, Internet, fax, letter or phone. Since 1993, the electronic edition of the Journal is also accessible on the Sigma-NOT web site: http://www.sigma-not.pl . The whole basis of papers in this edition (over 4100 papers on 26 000 pages) is available to the Subscribers for 24.60 PLN only. The basis is permanently supplemented with the former issues. The Journal is intended for managers, chemists and engineers in industrial enterprises, constructors in design offices, scientific workers in research institutes as well as lecturers and students in academia. All published scientific papers are reviewed by experts before acceptance for publication. Ministry of Science and High Education grants scientific institutions 15 scores for each paper published in Przemysł Chemiczny during their annual evaluation. The Journal is screened cover-to-cover by Chemical Abstracts. The individual papers are also included in the bases of Referativnyi Zhurnal (Russia), RAPRA (Great Britain) and TEMA (Germany).
